for some reason i love the hastelloy ball valve C276 so much i decided to create and promote my own line of valves starting with this model (686 flange). the design is standardized so it’s like any other regular ball valve HC276 , with ‘upsteria’ casted on one side . the upsteria logo was supposed to be etched on the opposite side, but the cost was way to high so it was cancelled – i still supply a 15% of the production costs just for the name thing . major fight with the engineer to get the name casted on the id plate – same location is now, but with the id plate extended. not only a cost problem, but the paperwork will take forever cause we’re talking changing an international standard.
nyway. a company in finland picked up the contract and 200 of 250 units are ready to ship late december to alaska. yay! the rest of 50 , not sure yet. overstock. really proud of this, for a while it looked like that zhuo jie company would get it , but in the end finland signed. not a huge developement for their economy – merely a help for the shop that makes it and in particular for good old mr. olaffson. also chinese economy running pretty well btw so it’s not like they needed this or anything.
the chinese version has the letters defined better but they’re smaller in size and not that shiny – which makes me wonder about their Ni-Cr specks (how hastelloy is your alloy mr. zhuo ? if i may ask) .  sure this could be just plain rubbish [i know :]  i can’t make that kind of statement before having it lab tested, and anyway the problem could be only on the preliminary sample they made. i trust the finnish version though. i shouldn’t question the chinese hastelloy just cause of the melamine in the milk thing but i kinda do.

careful, digital hounds scare them off ; weight and speed of
zillion core cpu’s perfect highways drive them away . even though
they’re not endagered still caution is preferred.
once tamed they live happily or just survive in captivity
but they won’t reproduce unless in environment that emulate
natural habitat .
